After entering the year, make and model of your vehicle, you will be shown which trailers you can tow and the rental price for each size. If you do not have a hitch on your vehicle, U-Haul sells and installs hitches 7 days a week and can equip any car, truck or van with a trailer hitch. U-Haul is the only company in the industry that rents trailers one-way in the United States and Canada.

The most common size hitch balls are 1-7/8" to 2", depending on your trailer's coupler. Larger sizes up to 2-5/16" are available for commercial-type towing needs. Check your coupler - the recommended size will be stamped on the top. U-Haul trailers will work with either the 1-7/8" or the 2" hitch balls. They start at $8.95 and come with the clamp-indicating fastener, an exclusive U-Haul safety feature. Hitch balls can be purchased from the U-Haul Store.
The wiring adapters vary depending on the year, make and model of your vehicle as well as the device being towed.
